A Town Called Tranquility
Last year, I took a trip up to a Wild West town in the heart of Aberdeenshire. This was the Tranquility wild west town open day, the last of 2017.
On the day, weather was as wild as the town, with high wind and heavy rain, but when the event started, the skies cleared, and we even had sunshine.
The town established in 2006, and has been built up over the years, by a dedicated group of wild west reenactors called the Northern Rough Riders.
They put on a full tour of the town, answered all my questions about their gun rigs, and even provided coffee and biscuits. With the crowning glory being the several staged shootouts.
A great day out for kids and adults alike.
