I copied this holster from a TimeLife book on Western Gunfighters. The holster design and hand stamped pattern date to the late 1800's.
There is a back flap on this holster, and it has a strap which will allow it to fit on a gun belt of up to 3" in width. The holster will take a 5.5" barrel gun, but you can choose to have a longer holster made to fit your Navy Colt.
As with all my items, it is made in good quality 3.2-4mm vegetable tanned leather, with a hand stamped basket weave pattern. There is no hammer thong with this holster, just like the original, but if you message me, I will fit one for you.
The holster is hand stitched, with the base stitched fully closed, just like the original. It can be worn as a standard right or left hand draw, or more usually, as a cross draw.
